Mabelia connatifila
Taxonomy
Mabelia connatifila was named by Gandolfo et al. (2002) [Figs. 8, 9. Specimens stored in the L. H. Bailey Hortorium Paleobotanical Collection.]. Its type specimen is CUPC 1255. Its type locality is Old Crossman Clay Pit, which is in a Turonian fluvial-lacustrine claystone in the Raritan/Lower Magothy Formation of New Jersey. It is the type species of Mabelia.
