Kwangsiphyllum was named by Grabau and Yoh (1931) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Stauriidae by Hill (1956); to Diphyphyllinae by Hill (1981); and to Rugosa by Sepkoski (2002).
