Taxonomy
Estheriina was named by Jones (1897). It is not extant. Its type is Estheriina brasiliensis. It is the type genus of Estheriininae.

It was assigned to Estheriininae by Pinto (1956), Tasch (1969), Lana and Carvalho (2002).
