Taxonomy

Pleurocora was named by Milne-Edwards and Haime (1848) [Sepkoski's age data: K Ceno T Than-l Sepkoski's reference number: 837]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Haplaraeidae by Baron-Szabo (1997), Baron-Szabo (2021).

Latohelia was named by Löser (1987).

It was synonymized subjectively with Pleurocora by Baron-Szabo (2002).
Phyllohelia was named by Alloiteau (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes T Than-u Sepkoski's reference number: 86]. It is not extant.
