Tsagantegia longicranialis
Taxonomy
Tsagantegia longicranialis was named by Tumanova (1993). Its type specimen is GIN AN MNP No. 700/17, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsagan-Teg, which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian terrestrial horizon in the Baynshire Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Tsagantegia. It was considered monophyletic by Vickaryous et al. (2004).
