It was assigned to Odonata by Zhang (1989); to Anisoptera by Carpenter (1992); to Libelluloidea by Pritykina (1986), Gentilini (1992), Nel and Paicheler (1994) and Jarzembowski and Nel (1996); to Haplohamulida by Bechly (2005); and to Italoansida by Bechly (2007).
