Valenictus imperialensis
Taxonomy
Valenictus imperialensis was named by Mitchell (1961). Its type specimen is LACM (CIT) 3926, a limb element (humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Painted Gorge, which is in a Zanclean marine siltstone in the Deguynos Formation of California. It is the type species of Valenictis.
