Taxonomy
Tellina intastriata was named by Say (1826). It is extant. It is the type species of Florimetis.

It was recombined as Apolymetis intastriata by McGinty (1970); it was recombined as Florimetis intastriata by Woodring (1982); it was recombined as Psammotreta intastriata by Portell (1992); it was recombined as Leporimetis intastriata by Hendy et al. (2008).
