Taxonomy
Lophocarinophyllum yichunense was named by Zhu (1982). Its type specimen is GI-523 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cihua, Yichun County, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the Longtan Formation of China.
