Taxonomy
Vacunella praecurvata was named by Astafieva-Urbajtis (1990). Its type specimen is VNIGRI Museum 29/795, a valve (Right valve), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Pareni River Basin, Upper Magiveyen Svita, Omolon Massif, which is in an Asselian marine horizon in the Magiveyen Formation of the Russian Federation.
