Taxonomy
Palaeonemoura apicalis was named by Sinitshenkova (2004). Its type specimen is PIN 3700/93, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Novo-Aleksandrovka (PIN collection 3700), which is in a Capitanian terrestrial mudstone in the Russian Federation.
