Anagesthes affinis
Taxonomy
Termes affinis was named by Goldenberg (1854). Its type specimen is Naturhist Ver. Bonn, 16(41), a wing (small fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Altenwald mine, which is in a Westphalian C terrestrial shale/bituminous coal in the Lower Saarbrucker layer Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Dictyoneura affinis by Scudder (1885); it was considered a nomen nudum by Goldenberg (1852); it was recombined as Anagesthes affinis by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Guthörl (1934) and Waterlot (1934).
It was recombined as Dictyoneura affinis by Scudder (1885); it was considered a nomen nudum by Goldenberg (1852); it was recombined as Anagesthes affinis by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Guthörl (1934) and Waterlot (1934).
