Taxonomy
Archaralites zherichini was named by Legalov (2010). Its type specimen is PIN 2055/34, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Arkhara (PIN collection 2055), which is in a Danian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Darmakan Formation of the Russian Federation.
