Taxonomy

Gonomyia (Palaeogonomyia) pulcherrima was named by Meunier (1906). Its type specimen is Konigsberg 168, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Rhabdomastix (Palaeogonomyia) pulcherrima by Alexander (1931); it was recombined as Rhabdomastix pulcherrima by Podenas (2006).

Synonyms

Gonomyia (Palaeogonomyia) pulchella was named by Meunier (1906). Its type specimen is Konigsberg 477, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was synonymized subjectively with Rhabdomastix (Palaeogonomyia) pulcherrima by Alexander (1931); it was synonymized subjectively with Rhabdomastix pulcherrima by Podenas (2006).
