Taxonomy
Adumbratus curtus was named by Sharov (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 746/113, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kaltan, outcrop 1300 (PIN collection 746), which is in a Roadian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Mitina Formation of the Russian Federation.
