Epidolops ameghinoi

Taxonomy
Epidolops ameghinoi was named by Paula Couto (1952) [Skull description found in Beck (2017)]. Its type specimen is DGM 321-M, a partial skull (Almost complete but much crushed and flattened skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Epidolops.
