Xinjiangchelys qiguensis
Taxonomy
Xinjiangchelys qiguensis was named by Matzke et al. (2004). Its type specimen is SGP 2000/5, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liuhuanggou bonebed, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian fluvial siltstone/sandstone in the Qigu Formation of China.
