Carpolithus dicellaformis was named by Berry (1929) [INCERTAE SEDIS]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type locality is Belen, Punta PariƱas, which is in a Miocene/Oligocene terrestrial horizon in Peru.
