Carpolithus dicellaformis was named by Berry (1929) [INCERTAE SEDIS]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type locality is Belen, Punta Pariñas, which is in a Miocene/Oligocene terrestrial horizon in Peru.

E. W. Berry 1929	It shows a subglobular, nut like or capsular fruit, 12.75 millimeters long, 13-25 millimeters in maximum, and 10 millimeters in minimum equatorial diameter, constricted medianly into two subequal parts.
