Taxonomy
Nematoproctus alsiosus was named by Meunier (1910). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Zanzibar Copal (Evers collection), which is in a Holocene terrestrial amber in Tanzania.

It was recombined as Diaphorus alsiosus by Grichanov (2008).
