Etymology: Minor for its small size in relation to the other known species of the genus
Taxonomy
Pachybiotherium minor was named by Goin (1997). Its type specimen is IGM 253051, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with roots of m2-3 and almost complete m4), and it is a 3D body fossil.
