Blattinopsis (Blattinopsis) augustai was named by Kukalová (1959). It is an impression. Its type locality is Říčany, field road 30 m east of ravine, which is in an Asselian mire/swamp siliciclastic in the Padochov Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Blattinopsis augustai by Hörnschemeyer and Stapf (2001).
