Taxonomy
Cenotextricella simoni was named by Penney (2007). Its type specimen is MNHN PA 327 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Oise amber, Le Quesnoy, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial amber in the Argiles d'lignite du Soissonnais Formation of France. It is the type species of Cenotextricella.
