Taxonomy
Succinilipus saxoniensis was named by Wunderlich (1993). Its type specimen is GPIN 3600, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (Grabenhorst collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
