Taxonomy
Archaeodrapetiops elongata was named by Martins-Neto et al. (1992). Its type specimen is UnG/1T-14, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Santa Fe farm, Padre Eterno, Taubaté municipality (UnG collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large shale in the Tremembé Formation of Brazil.
