Taxonomy
Advenimus burkei was named by Dawson (1964). Its type specimen is AMNH 26664, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Irdin Manha Beds (1930 AMNH Eudinoceras site), which is in an Irdinmanhan terrestrial horizon in China. It is the type species of Advenimus.
