Taxonomy
Paleotramea fasciata was named by Nel and Paicheler (1993). It is extant. Its type specimen is MNHN-LP-R.07881, a hindwing. Its type locality is Bes-Konak, which is in an Aquitanian lacustrine - large diatomite in Turkey.
