Hipparion theniusi
Taxonomy
Hipparion theniusi was named by Melentis (1969). Its type specimen is AMPG 1967/151, a set of teeth (left tooth row with P3-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Halmyropotamos, which is in a Turolian terrestrial claystone in Greece.
