Metacryphaeus kegeli
Taxonomy
Metacryphaeus kegeli was named by Carvalho et al. (1997) [= Asteropyge sp. Kegel, 1953.
= Metacryphaeus sp. Melo, 1988: 681, pl. 25, figs. 9-15.]. Its type specimen is DNPM N.6133-I, a cephalon/head, and it is a mold. Its type locality is 11 km south of Pimenteiras, which is in an Eifelian marine sandstone/siltstone in the Pimenteira Formation of Brazil.
