Taxonomy
Deinoproetus blandus was named by Zhou et al. (2000). Its type specimen is XIG TR513, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is D202. Zhusilenghaierhan area, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Yikewsusu Formation of China.
