Pliodelphis doelensis
Taxonomy
Pliodelphis doelensis was named by Belluzzo and Lambert (2021). Its type specimen is IRSNB M.2330, a partial skull (Partial skull lacking the distal part of the ros- trum, some portions of the facial region, and most of the lateral parts of the basicranium.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Deurganck Dock, Doel, Kattendijk Member, which is in a Zanclean open shallow subtidal sandstone in the Kattendijk Formation of the Netherlands. It is the type species of Pliodelphis.
