Litargus (Litargosomus) dantiscensis was named by Alekseev et al. (2020). Its type specimen is UCP UwB 260, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (UCP UwB collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
