Taxonomy
Perimys intermedius was named by Kramarz (2002). It is not extant. Its type locality is Loma de la Lluvia, Pinturas Fm., Lago Buenos Aires, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Pinturas Formation of Argentina.
