Type specimen: PMO 214.135, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton consisting of the anterior portions of the upper and lower jaws, including premaxillary and dentary teeth; one nearly complete cervical centrum). Its type locality is South of Sassenfjorden, southeast side of Mount Knerten (Pliosaurus funkei type), which is in a Tithonian deep-water mudstone/dolomite in the Agardhfjellet Formation of Norway.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution:
