It was recombined as Thecosmilia sellae by Frech (1890); it was recombined as Parathecosmilia sellae by Roniewicz (1974), Turnsek (1997); it was recombined as Retiophyllia sellae by Fantini Sestini and Motta (1984), Roniewicz and Michalík (1998).
