Taxonomy
Coelohelia wagneriana was named by Vaughan (1900). Its type locality is Lower Peach Tree Landing, Greggs Landing Marl, which is in a Thanetian coastal sandstone in the Tuscahoma Formation of Alabama.
It was recombined as Oculina wagneriana by Kiessling (2008).
