Taxonomy

Rhopalodictyum claviformis was named by Kozur and Mostler (1978). Its type locality is Grossreifling, which is in a Julian marine limestone in the Grossreifling Limestone Formation of Austria.

It was recombined as Paronaella claviformis by Tekin (1999).
