Ampyxina lanceola

Taxonomy
Ampyxina lanceola was named by Whittington (1959) [Paratypes: USNM 137693a-c]. Its type specimen is USNM 137692, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 16, junction Hwy 617 and 753, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia.
