Limulitella bronnii
Taxonomy
Limulites bronnii was named by Schimper (1853). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wasselonne, which is in an Aegean delta plain sandstone in the Grès à Voltzia Formation of France. It is the type species of Limulitella.
It was corrected as Limulites bronni by Bill (1914); it was recombined as Limulitella bronni by Størmer (1952), Gall (1971), Lamsdell (2016) and Lamsdell (2020); it was recombined as Limulitella bronnii by Bicknell et al. (2021) and Klompmaker et al. (2022).
