Taxonomy

Dysmorphoptiloides was named by Evans (1956).

It was assigned to Gallegomorphoptilinae by Martins-Neto and Gallego (2006); to Dysmorphoptilidae by Evans (1956), Riek (1974), Shcherbakov (1984), Hamilton (1992), Martins-Neto et al. (2003), Lambkin (2015), Lara et al. (2021); and to Dysmorphoptilinae by Szwedo and Huang (2019), Fu et al. (2021).

Synonyms

Gallegomorphoptila was named by Martins-Neto and Gallego (2003). Its type is Gallegomorphoptila breviptera. It is the type genus of Gallegomorphoptilinae.

It was synonymized subjectively with Dysmorphoptiloides by Fu et al. (2021).

It was assigned to Dysmorphoptilidae by Martins-Neto et al. (2003); and to Gallegomorphoptilinae by Martins-Neto and Gallego (2006), Szwedo and Huang (2019).
