Tupus gilmorei
Taxonomy
Typus gilmorei was named by Carpenter (1927). Its type specimen is USNM 71279, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Hermit Shale, about one-quarter mile west of the sign "Red Top", which is in an Artinskian fluvial shale/sandstone in the Hermit Shale Formation of Arizona.
It was recombined as Tupus gilmorei by Brauckmann and Zessin (1989), Nel et al. (2009).
