Taxonomy
Calisius weitschati was named by Heiss (2000). Its type specimen is Damzen 616, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Damzen collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
