It was assigned to Macominae by Cox et al. (1969), Vokes (1980), Woodring (1982), Freneix et al. (1988), Coan et al. (2000); to Tellinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992), Moore (2003); and to Psammotreta by Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012), Hendy (2020).
