Taxonomy
Collignonastraea was named by Alloiteau (1958) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath-l K Maes Sepkoski's reference number: 658,691]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Microphyllia by Baron-Szabo (2002).

It was assigned to Microsolenidae by Turnsek (1997); to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002); and to Latomeandridae by Pandey and Fürsich (2003).
