Taxonomy
Gablonzeria was named by Cuif (1976) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori-l Tr Rhae Sepkoski's reference number: 919]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Gablonzeriidae.

It was assigned to Tropiphyllidae by Stanley (1986); to Gablonzeriidae by Turnsek (1997); and to Scleractinia by Sepkoski (2002).
