Taxonomy
Lomorupithecus harrisoni was named by Rossie and MacLatchy (2006). Its type specimen is BUMP 266, a partial skull (partial face), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Napak (Napak Member), which is in a Burdigalian floodplain horizon in Uganda. It is the type species of Lomorupithecus.
