Taxonomy
Liassophlebia withersi was named by Tillyard (1925). Its type specimen is BMNH I 10697, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Strensham, Worcestershire, which is in a Rhaetian marine horizon in the Lilstock Formation of the United Kingdom.
