Taxonomy

Miomatoneura was named by Martynov (1927).

It was assigned to Delopteridae by Carpenter (1933); to Palaeomantidae by Martynov (1927), Martynov (1928), Martynov (1930) and Kukalová (1963); and to Palaeomanteidae by Rasnitsyn (2004), Rasnitsyn and Aristov (2013) and Prokop et al. (2017).
