Zhangshania was named by Li et al. (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Zhangshania typica.
It was assigned to Gigantopygidae by Li et al. (1990); and to Redlichiida by Sepkoski (2002).
