Bonniopsis was named by Poulsen (1946) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Tojo Sepkoski's reference number: 480]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Dorypygidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002).
