Palaeobrachypogon macronyx

Taxonomy
Ceratopogon (Ceratopogon) macronyx was named by Remm (1976). Its type specimen is PIN 3311/372, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr amber, Yantardakh Hill (PIN collection 3311), which is in a Santonian terrestrial amber in the Kheta Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Ceratopogon macronyx by Szadziewski (1996); it was recombined as Palaeobrachypogon macronyx by Borkent (1995), Borkent and Wirth (1997), Borkent (2013), Szadziewski (2018) and Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
